About

Walker Software used to be the support pages for the Industry Leading Traffic Exchange Scripts from the Walker Development Team. As Walker is a common name (not quite a Smith I will admit) we had little hope of standing out from the crowd and thus our “Marketing Guru’s” advised us to change the name to Ventrino Software LLC.

This site with it’s raging PR of 6 was then left to do nothing for a couple of years and before the PR frizzled away completely (and before we forgot about it completely too) we decided it was the ideal place to start a corporate blog.

By corporate I mean both of us of course :)

We had decided that all those applications we had built and used ourselves and wanted to give away as a thank you to our readers would have a place to stop-by and pick them up.

Of course we made a good start and then forgot about it again. So far the applications are limited to those that we keep getting asked for and there’s nothing there that we really want to be there. None of it shows us off in a particularly good light as with many applications these were developed in a rush to fix a problem.

For example, the Windows Link Scheduler was written the same year VB6 was released (must be about 1996), we have recompiled it from the VSS database a few times but not to fix bugs, chiefly because we forgot to move it to the new server after decommissioning the old.

So there’s a few lemmings at the moment but we’ve decided to try a little harder and begin to release some of our newer stuff. We may even release some of our Wordpress Widgets - I feel a post coming on.
